Don’t you dare say last call tonight…

For a portion of our Christmas celebration, we chose to exchange names and not only give a gift to the name we drew, but also some sort of creative expression. I was lucky enough to draw my brother-in-law’s name and here is the song I “wrote,” played on guitar, and sang for Todd. Please note that there was a considerable amount of inspiration from Enrique Iglesias, and a few borrowed lines from here and there, and some help from Karissa. Todd has recently taken a journey into the world of home brew, hence the subject matter of the song. As you read, feel free to hum “Hero” by Enrique Iglesias to really capture this creative expression in all it’s glory.
“Brew”
Dedicated to Todd Jorgenson
12/25/08
Would you share, if I asked you to share?
Would you pour, if I wanted some more?
Is it a pale, or maybe an amber?
Would you brew for me tonight?
Would you mind, if I filled my own glass?
Will you brew, a stout with some kick?
Can you make wine, or even a lager?
Would you brew for me tonight?
I can drink your beer oh baby
I can sip away the ale
I will use your tap forever
It’s my home, away from home
Would you swear, I’m always invited?
Can I brew, the next brew with you?
Can I have tap rights?
Have I had too much?
Don’t you dare say last call tonight.
I can drink your beer oh baby
I can sip away the ale
I will use your tap forever
It’s my home, away from home
It’s my home, away from home
It’s my home, away from home…

Hilarious song and so cool you did that! Tom has some home-brewing family and we’d love to hear you sing this. 🙂
I couldn’t help but sing some of it to a friend on the phone just now!! Did we get video of you singing it?? So, so funny. Love it.
Thats awesome!!!! Home brewing is a very cool thing. My neighbors own a home brew supply shop in kirkland, they always brew in their driveway on the 4th and have wine making parties, there is a lot of science and work that goes into it!
You all are a creative bunch:)
I swear, you are always invited and I will let you know when you have had too much.
The stout with some kick should be ready in about a week. Thanks for the song. I will be posting it to youtube for everyone.
